Thanks for stopping by. I'm in the process of finishing up the installation and initial design process of the new Heroic Images! site. Suffice it to say that it isn't the same Heroic Images! of the past few years. When I started the site in 1999, the idea was to showcase the amazing artwork, artists and characters the DC Comics had to offer. At the time DC Comics had a reputation for having the best storytellers in the comics industry, while Marvel had the lion's share of the best artists. As a huge fan of DC Comics I wanted to help dispell that notion, and so Heroic Images! was born.

Years later, DC Comics is holding its own with a brilliant stable of talented artists. But some would say that Marvel has provided plenty of competition in the story department. One thing is certain, comics are still a fun medium—and there's something for everyone out there.

So what about Heroic Images! ? The site had grown into something of a behemoth, hosting thousands of images that I didn't have the time to monitor. But my love for DC Comics, Star Wars, action figures and playsets, and big budget action flicks hasn't waned! And I still want to have a home online where I can "play". That's what I hope the new HI! can be. We'll have lots of images (I'm working on replenishing much of the old galleries), a forum for any and all discussion to take place, and fun news and updates about stuff I'd like to share, whether it's a new action figure I've made, a funny YouTube video I've spotted, or some news item from the world of DC Comics.

So thanks for being here, on what is the 10th anniversary of this little web experiment. There's more to come in short order.
