About HI!
Heroic Images! has been on the internet since 1999. Through its various incarnations, there's been one goal in mind: to showcase the incredible artistry of DC Comics.
The site was designed and is still edited by David Gallagher (Heroic Dave).
This latest version of Heroic Images! allows registered users to participate in forum discussion, to freely navigate the popular HI! Galleries, and even to upload images to help build the galleries.
Here are instructions for uploading images to the HI! Galleries:
- Navigate to the appropriate gallery (for instance, a picture of Bizarro would go in Villains/B/Bizarro)
- At the bottom of the page, click on the drop-down menu and select "Add Items"
- Upload your image (make sure the image file has a logical, descriptive name like "Bizarro by Byrne"
- Wait for the image to be approved & added by an admin
That's it! There's no upload limit at this time, but please don't add hundreds of images, as we won't be able to add them quickly. And make sure that the quality of your uploads is worthy of Heroic Images! In other words (here comes another list):
- No watermarks or web addresses on the pics
- No scanned comic pages filled with word balloons
- Don't upload a bunch of DC's covers - unless there's a particular one that's missing from the site
- Nothing naughty or graphic (think PG... maybe PG-13)
